TODAY’S FAN OF THE DAY…

WE HAVE BEEN ASKING SOME OF THE FANS OF THE BLOG A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT WRESTLING!! AS WITHOUT THE FANS THERE WOULD BE NO WRESTLING INDUSTRY!!
Today’s fan is Vicky Earls find her on Twitter @VickyEarls

When did you start watching wrestling?

When I was about 5, I’m 31. My sister and I loved it. It was different and back then it was very fun.

Who was your favourite wrestler when you were younger?

Bret Hart, Roddy Piper and Macho Man. I’ve seen them all live. They were all so different and I could relate to them. Bret had the charisma to win you over, Piper was full of attitude and bad ass and Macho Man was in a league of his own.

What are your earliest memories of wrestling?

Being in Dublin watching my three idols but also seeing Yokozuna, Tatanka and more live. I remember meeting Piper in person and I was his princess. A fond memory.

What is your favourite match ever?

That is literally impossible to answer. I can’t give one haha. But I’ll go with something very recent, any of the matches between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have just made me love wrestling. They wrestle their asses off, so similiar with their move sets yet so different. You invest into the match.

What is the best wrestling show you’ve attended?

The WWF shows I went to as a young teen were amazing because the of guys I mentioned earlier and just being in a crowd that loved wrestling.

What is your current favourite promotion to watch?

Progress is up there. It’s raw, authentic and not overdone. I feel the emotional pull to it. The fan feeling, you feel so involved whether you’re a newbie or not. That non entertainment, wrestling feeling.

Who is your current favourite wrestler?

UK wise, Noam Dar. He puts on A+ Matches and always seems to be putting his soul into training. WWE wise, Rollins. Been a long time fan and he is one beast of a worker.

Do you watch British wrestling, if yes what promotions?

I try watch what I can using pivotshare and on demand services. Progress dominates my free time. With Jimmy’s heel turn, Ospreay’s journey to champ, Paul Robinson v Jimmy Havoc amazed me. Marty Scrull is such a dark horse and one of the most improved over the last year. The huge surprise when Roderick Strong and Adam Cole popped over to face SDS.

Who is your favourite British wrestler?

I know I mentioned Dar above but have to mention Jimmy Havoc. What a man. He is the whole package. The wrestling ability, character change and development.

What do you think of the current state of British wrestling?

It is amazing. A tonne of hard working wrestlers who give back to the fans just as much

If you were a wrestler what would you call yourself and what would be your gimmick?

I’ve thought about this before and VAME would be my name as it’s my initials and I’d be a cocky bitch haha.
Have you ever met any wrestlers, if so who was your favourite?

Again Piper was my fave and it just makes me happy to know I’ve met him. I was young. He had a fitness VHS, yes a video, and because he was one of my idols I had to meet him. My Dad brought me to Dublin. I met him and he was amazing, said I was the prettiest and something about my big brown eyes and I was his Princess. I mean it’s a tad cheesey but what a memory to have. I still have the signed VHS.
