OUR REVIEW OF FEBRUARY’S WRESTLE CRATE!!

This months Wrestle Crate yet again showed why it is the best mystery crate currently available. If you want to see what the buzz is all about and subscribe then head to their website http://www.wrestlecrate.co.uk and check out their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/WrestleCrateUK/ and follow them on Twitter @WrestleCrateUK

First out of the crate was a wrestling themed activity book, pencils, sticker and Paul Heyman badge from Pizza Eaters. The activity book took me back to the days when you used to get the lucky bags full of random goodies, the activity book has pictures of attitude era stars to colour in which is awesome. The sticker is a take on Brock Lesnars “Eat Sleep Conquer Repeat” but with pizza replacing conquer and they Heyman badge looks like an old school tattoo. This month we were treated to something from my other passion comic books, with the graphic novel Headlocked: The Last Territory with cover art drawn by WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler and foreword by American comedian Rob Funches. Combining both wrestling and comic books is an awesome idea, I am yet to read the novel but the artwork looks awesome and the story seems to be an insider look at a wrestlers climb to the top of the wrestling industry. Looking forward to reading this and if it is as good as it looks from my first flick through, I may end up buying the other books in the series.

There was 2 dvd’s this month the first a WrestleCrate exclusive from Pro Wrestling Chaos who presented Rhynos Boars Birds Beards, I’ve never seen a Chaos show but have read a lot about them and this gives me the opportunity to see a show and may even post a review of my first glimpse of Chaos. The DVD has great matches including Morgan Webster V Mark Andrews, Tommaso Ciampa V Jeckel, Wild Boar V Mike Bird and over the top rope battle royal.

The second DVD had me stupidly excited as I have admired the German promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling for a long time and always wanted to get a flight out to Germany and take in a show. This DVD was WXW 15th Anniversary show including WXW Hall Of Fame inductions, Tag Team Title match between ZackDaddy and Cerberus, Bad Bones against Absolute Andy and WXW World Champion Karsten Beck defending against Daisuke Sekimoto. If you have not already done so make sure you check out Westside Xtreme Wrestling as soon as you can.

Yet again some amazing artwork was included, this months was of New Japan’s current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, The Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada. Outstanding artist Natasha S catches The Rainmaker in an iconic pose and looks almost lifelike. Now I just need a frame to hang this pride and place on my wall where it deserves to be, breathtakingly awesome!

Carrying on the international flavour of this months crate next out was a signed picture of Lucha Underground star and ex WWE man Johnny Mundo, which will go nicely with my ever growing collection of signed wrestling memorabilia.

Last but not least was this months tshirt which failed to disappoint, I swear the guys at WrestleCrate UK can read my mind as this week I’ve been contemplating parting with my cash for a Kenny Omega shirt and I’m glad I didn’t as they included an exclusive Kenny Omega shirt which looks awesome and so unique complete with the omega symbol. The shirt has a throwback feel to it and looks brilliant, just need to catch a show that The Cleaner is booked on in the UK.

SOMEONE STOP THE DAMN MATCH!!

Yet again WrestleCrate UK smash it out of the park with this months crate and guaranteed that I will be keeping my subscription for yet another month. Thanks again for the crate full of awesomeness and roll on next months Crate. Let us know what you thought of the crate over on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SomeoneStopTheDamnMatch
